Independent broker · Not a direct lender
Put your real estate to work for your business.
I'm Meshesha Robel, a licensed Mortgage Agent Level 2 who brokers business financing secured by property, buying your business's building, refinancing it, or using commercial or residential equity as collateral. I don't lend money: I shop your file across banks, credit unions and commercial lenders and stay your single point of contact through funding.
Real estate-secured business financing I arrange
Property is often the strongest collateral a business or its owner has. Each loan is funded by a third-party lender; my job is to match the lender and structure to your business.

Learn moreBroker vs. going direct to one lender for property-secured financing
| Factor | Business loan broker | Direct to one lender |
|---|---|---|
| Who funds the loan | A third-party lender (broker never funds) | That lender |
| Products compared | Several lender types at once | Only that lender's products |
| Point of contact | One broker throughout | Lender's account manager |
| If declined | File can be repositioned to other lender types | Start over elsewhere |
| Cost to you | Varies; any borrower fee disclosed in writing upfront | Lender fees only |
| Approval guarantee | None, lender decides | None, lender decides |
Broker, not lender. Meshesha Robel does not fund loans. Every loan is offered, approved and funded by a third-party lender under its own underwriting. Approval and terms are never guaranteed.

Common questions
What is real estate-secured business financing?
It is a loan or credit facility for a business purpose where the lender registers a mortgage or charge on commercial or residential property as security. Property backing can widen options compared with unsecured business credit, but terms always depend on the lender and the file.
Can my business get financing to buy the building it operates from?
Often, yes. Owner-occupied commercial financing is available from banks, credit unions, BDC, CSBFP participating lenders and alternative lenders. Lenders review the property, the down payment and the business's ability to service the mortgage.
Can I refinance business-owned property to fund my business?
Often, yes. An equity takeout refinance replaces the existing mortgage with a larger one and releases capital to the business, subject to appraisal, loan-to-value limits and cash-flow coverage.
Can I use my home equity to secure a business loan?
Many lenders allow a business owner to pledge residential equity through a refinance, second mortgage or secured line of credit. Your home is at risk if the business cannot repay, so get independent legal advice first.
